Aftal.org was launched in 2001 to serve the Arab Regional Civil Society Forum on Children with the goal of providing a medium for posting the agenda and outcomes of the conference. The site was widely visited by a different array of people interested in children’s issues, whether for registration or attainment of information about outcomes and documents. The success of the site as a medium for those attending the forum or interested in its outcomes, encouraged the idea of continuity. Atfal.org seemed like a great window of opportunity for working for and with the children of the Middle East region as part of the Global Movement for Children. The website is an attempt to make a difference in the lives of children in the region and to work on providing them with a better future, thus ultimately creating an Arab World fit for our children.

OUR MISSION
To provide space for networking between Arab partners in the Global Movement for Children including governments, regional organizations, civil society, media, private sector and children with the purpose of creating an Arab World Fit for Children
